Space Education Documentary in Swahili for Kids

Based on the questions asked by kids during Kids Sky Exploration project and Books For Us project conducted by UNAWE-Tanzania, we have decided to produce a documentary that answers some of those questions.

These questions include gravitational force, living in space, rocket launching mechanism, solar system, satellite communication, solar energy used in space shuttles, earth rotation and evolution and usefulness of satellite received data.

This video was made at Cite de l’Espace in Toulouse, France

This is a welcome contribution to interest Kiswahili speakers towards astronomy.

Due to lack of good Internet in Tanzania the video can be provided for download and a written transcript of the soundtrack would be useful for later reading and to understand the inaudible parts.

The written transcript would also increase interest in basic sciences by introducing correct science concepts that can be understood by kids.
